This piece was made in 2009 for an interview class I took my final semester of college. I worked a summer at the fabric store in San Francisco's Union Square, catty-corner to Albert's flower stand. I recognized him quickly for his part in one of my favorite movies, So I Married An Axe Murderer. "No more, no less. Just get the steak and let me get out of here," he demanded to Nancy Travis' character. One day I got the courage to talk to him, emboldened by the thought that maybe I'm the first person to recognize him from such roles. He seemed politely flattered though maybe the recognition was wearing thin, and quietly occupied himself by arranging bouquet of flowers.. I came back a few weeks later with a recorder, microphone, and camera. I assembled this story which just scratches the surface of a much longer history.
